My family liked it well enough, then I tried Honey Oatmeal, they loved it! I would bake 6 loaves at a time ande it would dissapear so fast. Then I branched out into more rustic artesan breads, with the family favorite being a potato loaf. While doing living history reenacting I now get a chance to bake in a large clay oven. I agree that it's a fantastic book. His basic sourdough with a cup of walnuts kneaded in make a satisfying daily bread. The bagel recipe can also be easily tweaked to make sourdough bagels.
